Explore the Sellaronda and Dolomiti Superski straight from our doorstep

Sellaronda and Dolomiti Superski are names that make every skier sit up and take notice. This famous 40 km ski circuit around the Sella massif links lifts and pistes across four Dolomite passes and several valleys. You can tackle it in either direction and set off directly from our hotel in the Dolomiti Superski area.
And yet, this is just a taste of the sheer scale and variety of Dolomiti Superski. Some 450 lifts take you to the starting points of 1,200 km of pistes across 12 different ski areas in the most beautiful mountains of the Dolomites. Ready for your ski in & ski out adventures on the Sellaronda?

Our ski areas in detail

Right on the doorstep: the Val Gardena / Alpe di Siusi ski area (180 km of pistes), the largest in the network, with the legendary World Cup downhill run Saslong.

Sellaronda: Where to stay? At Fil da Mont, of course! The following areas around the Sellaronda are reachable on skis from our hotel:

  1. Alta Badia (130 km of pistes), accessible via Passo Gardena or the orange Sellaronda route,
  2. Val di Fassa / Carezza (115 km of pistes), accessible via the Passo Sella, in the heart of the legendary world surrounding Catinaccio and Latemar and
  3. Arabba / Marmolada (60 km of pistes), with the spectacular, 12-kilometre descent from the Marmolada glacier at over 3,300 metres for sporty skiers.

The Dolomites are the birthplace of skiing in South Tyrol.

Our tip: the clockwise Sellaronda (orange route)

Take the Piz Seteur gondola beneath the imposing rock faces of Sassolungo. Glide past the legendary Città dei Sassi towards Passo Sella, the first pass on the circuit, then enjoy a long, leisurely descent into the Trentino valley of Val di Fassa, finishing in Canazei. From there, the gondola takes you up into the Arabba ski area. Follow the perfectly groomed, sporty slopes down to the Ladin mountain village of the same name before crossing Passo Campolongo towards Alta Badia. The gentle, sun-drenched pistes around Corvara are perfect for a well-earned stop at a mountain hut. Then cross Passo Gardena and enjoy the long descent back to Selva di Val Gardena and our hotel in the Dolomiti Superski area.

Alternatively: the Sellaronda anticlockwise (green route)

Choose the green Sellaronda and set off directly from our ski-in, ski-out hotel in Plan de Gralba towards Selva di Val Gardena and up to Passo Gardena, where the breathtaking Cir peaks welcome you. A wide, enjoyable descent leads down to Corvara in Alta Badia, from where you begin the climb towards Passo Campolongo. After a series of varied runs down to Arabba, continue upwards to Passo Pordoi. Carve your way through snow-covered larch forests on the descent into Val di Fassa. The final section takes you over Passo Sella and back into the mountains of Val Gardena, where you can ski all the way back to Plan de Gralba, finishing right outside our door with magnificent views of Sassolungo.
